We get lots of enquiries from people who’d like to tutor for 121 Home Tutors. We’re always here to offer help and advice – the first question we often hear is ‘what information will you need’. So here’s a quick breakdown of the information you’ll need to get together before you apply.
- We’ll need information on your work and educational background – we’ll be looking to see if you have the appropriate tutoring or work related experience (but don’t worry if you haven’t tutored before, that doesn’t mean we won’t take you on).
- We’ll want references from companies you have worked for or people you have tutored.
- We’ll be looking for evidence that you understand what tutoring involves and how you’d approach a tutoring job. We’ll also want to know you love your subject area and can pass that enthusiasm onto a student.
- We’ll need proof of ID and evidence that you can work in the UK, plus a valid DBS (or be willing to apply for a DBS – previously known as a CRB).
- Finally we’ll need to know where you live and where you’d be willing to travel to (we cover Manchester and Cheshire).
So that’s our top tips. Still interested in tutoring – you can find out more information and apply on our website.

Hi
I am interested in becoming a tutor and I am just enquiring for help and advice in what options are available to fit my needs. I would be grateful if I could have a one to one conversation about the subject in order to get a personal perception of the agency.
I have rang and left my mobile number on your answer machine but just in case.
Thanks for your attention
J.Walters

Most of the things you say hpeapns to be astonishingly precise and that makes me wonder the reason why I hadn’t looked at this in this light before. This particular article really did turn the light on for me personally as far as this specific topic goes. But there is one particular position I am not too cozy with so whilst I try to reconcile that with the central theme of your point, allow me see just what all the rest of the readers have to point out.Very well done.
